Man arrested on felony resisting warrant after being recognized by officer Saturday night

On Saturday, July 8th, 2023, at 11:54 pm, a Turlock Police officer near a residence in the 200 block of G St, Turlock, observed and recognized a known criminal, so he got out with him.

The officer had his dispatcher run the man, Raymond Fajardo, 26, of Turlock, and discovered that he had two no-bail local bench warrants. The first was a felony one for attempting to deter or resist an executive officer in the performance of their duty by means of threat or violence, while the second was a $3,000 one for obstructing or resisting a public officer in the discharge of their duty.

After Fajardo was placed in handcuffs, he started to passively resist the officer, however, was able to be placed in the back of the patrol vehicle without any active resistance, something unusually strange for him.

Fajardo was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on his warrants.
