Woman arrested on federal probation violation warrant during traffic stop Friday afternoon

On Friday, May 26th, 2023, at 2:19 pm, a Turlock Police officer near Woods Furniture Gallery, 225 Lander Ave, Turlock, observed a man driving a vehicle that he recognized and knew had an expired driver’s license and was on post release community supervision, so he made a traffic stop on him.

The officer made contact with the man and his passenger, Amanda Laughlin, 36, of Denair.

When the officer had his dispatcher run Laughlin, he discovered that she was on federal probation and had a fully-extraditable no-bail felony bench warrant out of the United States Marshals Service for violation of probation.

Laughlin was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on her warrant.
